7/23/12 - We're so sad to hear that Syliva Woods of the famous Sylvia's in Harlem passed away at 86.
Sylvia was behind one of the most unique brunches in the city: Sunday gospel brunch which brings together the best southern comfort food and gospel music to please - and stuff - the customers.
So maybe it's a perfect time to go to Harlem to commemorate this amazing woman while enjoying one of the most unique brunches in NYC.
Meet Judy. A Florida native, Judy moved to NYC after college to work in inventory planning at Macy's. With the latest trends front and center every day, she naturally knows how to dress for one of her favorite activities: brunching.
How would you describe your brunch fashion style?
Casual and comfortable, yet trendy and edgy at times.
What makes a look brunchable?
Easy to put on while I'm still half asleep, but doesn't look it!
What is your favorite brunch spot or dish in NYC and why?
I love La Giara because they have 'make-your-own' bloody Marys that are unlimited! I like getting the bucket of ingredients to make my bloody nice and spicy. The food is also delicious and the price is right.
